Waterloo Girls Minor Hockey 2010-2011
The Waterloo Girls Minor Hockey Association offers a variety of hockey programs.
Recreational Hockey:
Waterloo Ravens Girls House League provides girls the opportunity to play recreational hockey within the Kitchener House League. Waterloo Ravens House League teams participate in home and away regular season and playoff games, practice times and three Jason Cripps Tournament games. All teams will play in the Waterloo Cup at the end of the season. All teams shall be given additional ice throughout the season depending upon ice availability. Teams that advance in the Cripps tournament and playoffs shall receive additional ice as well.
Fees prior to July 1st, 2010 are $420.00. Fees paid after July 1st, 2010 are $470.00. Out of city residents please add $125.
All fees will increase by $50.00 on July 1st, 2010.
Girls born 1992 to 1989 are eligible to play house league. They will play with midget age players although they must register under intermediate.
Representative Level Hockey:
Waterloo Ravens Representative Level (AA, A, BB, B and C Programs) provides players competitive hockey play within the Lower Lakes Female Hockey League (LLFHL). This level of play requires additional commitment in the form of tryout, rep and team fees, travel, and time. Rep teams will have regular and playoff schedules and may participate in OWHA sanctioned tournaments.
- Players must attend tryouts for rep play. To do this, please proceed with registration choosing the appropriate age division and tryout fees.
- Registration and tryout fees need to be paid in FULL by August 15, 2010 in order to participate in Fall rep tryouts. There are NO EXCEPTIONS.
There will be no Rep Tryout Passes available for sale at the door. All rep tryout passes are purchased online. Please be sure to print your receipt and bring this to the tryout ice times. This is for Waterloo Players only - Out of town players wishing to tryout out for our Tier 1 teams (Novice, Atom AA only) will pay for their tryouts at the door.
Tryouts in the fall will be for the following teams : Novice A; Atom AA, BB, C; PeeWee BB, C; Midget BB, C; Intermediate A; Senior A
Waterloo Girls Minor Hockey does not have out-of-town players on their Tier 2 and 3 teams.
Scotia Bank Rookie Ravens Program:
The Scotia Bank Ravens Rookie Program is designed to teach players the fundamentals of the game. The program is non-competitive and the emphasis is on FUN! This program is offered to girls 5-7 years of age. Registration fee of $100 per player.
Rookie Ravens registration can be accessed by going to the “Clinics”.
Early Bird Registration Discount:
Early Bird Registration Discount for the 2010-2011 season will end on June 30th, 2010.

For those that wish to enhance their hockey skills we are once again offering Powerskills. This program is open only for players registered with WGMHA for other hockey programs. To register for the Powerskills program, please register first for in your age division and then return here to submit the clinic registration. There is only 1 session being offered in the Powerskills program. This program is for girls aged 7 to 12. There are limited spaces. Register early.
