Waterloo K-W Rangers of the
Provincial Women’s Hockey League

The WGMHA is very excited about our new PWHL hockey team. The WGMHA was awarded an expansion team in the Provincial Women’s Hockey League (PWHL). The PWHL features the highest level of women’s hockey competition anywhere in the world. The League has currently 17 teams in the province and now 18 with the addition of the Waterloo K-W Rangers. The new WGMHA team will adopt the Rangers brand and call the team Waterloo K-W Rangers. The team will also play its home games out of the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium Complex where the Kitchener Rangers play. The team sponsoring partnership with the Kitchener Rangers will help this hockey club gain the immediate recognition in the PWHL for competing and operating a quality hockey program at the provincial Women’s level. The Rangers brand is a strong K-W community based brand which gives the Major Junior A Kitchener Rangers the opportunity to be partnering, sponsoring and supporting local and surrounding area hockey programs such as the Waterloo K-W Rangers women’s hockey team..

Notice of the WGMHA Annual General Meeting to be held Wednesday May 14, 2008 at 6:30 pm in the Forbes Hall at RIM Park. Nominations for positions on the Board of Directors, for election at the Meeting, must be submitted in writing to the Chair of the Nominating Committee within twenty (20) days prior to May 14, 2008. This meeting is open to all members and the general public.
